Infusion Caps

Medical caps are designed for sealing bottles produced on BFC machines.

The cap for medical bottles plays a much more important role than it may seem at first glance. It is essential for the preservation of medications used in medical procedures. It ensures airtightness, thereby protecting the medication from environmental influences and helping to maintain its sterility.

Alcopack caps guarantee high quality, full compliance with the required standards, and reliable protection of the medication from external factors.

Types of Caps

The parameters for categorizing caps are the materials used in their manufacture and their sizes. For the production of medical caps, we use polypropylene/thermoplastic elastomer and polyethylene/thermoplastic elastomer. Due to their resistance to chemical substances, non-toxicity, and the ability to undergo sterilization, both materials are frequently used in the medical industry.

The Alcopack catalog features caps in three sizes:

  • 36 x 25 mm
  • 39 x 25 mm
  • 39 x 27 mm

The availability of multiple sizes allows us to meet the needs of customers and provide medical institutions with caps that fit various models of bottles and equipment.

Temperature and Sterilization

Medical caps have one significant advantage: the ability to sterilize them at high temperatures. Polypropylene can maintain its properties at temperatures up to 108°C, while polyethylene can withstand temperatures up to 121°C. This enables effective and reliable sterilization.
