Multi-Dose Inhalers

Multi-dose blister inhalers are convenient devices used for the treatment of bronchopulmonary diseases. They deliver medication directly to the lungs.

The medication is contained in the individual inhaler in powder form, rather than as a liquid or suspension in propellants, as in standard aerosol cans. The medication reaches the lungs through the airflow during inhalation.

The main feature of this type of inhaler is the stability of the active ingredient particles. This is possible because their movement occurs at the speed of the air stream rather than at the speed of the propellant jet. As a result, neither their shape nor size changes after they leave the inhaler.

Main Advantages of Powder Inhalers

Powder inhalers from the manufacturer stand out favorably compared to metered aerosol inhalers. Among the advantages are:

  • There is no need to press the inhaler to receive a dose of the medication. It automatically releases the dose during inhalation.
  • Thanks to the automatic activation of the inhaler's mechanism, the effectiveness and safety of treatment are improved overall. The amount of medication that remains in the airways is reduced. This is the first important point. The second is that almost 40% of the measured dose reaches the bronchi. This enhances the beneficial effects of the medication on the body and reduces the risk of adverse effects.
  • Each inhaler is filled with 60 doses of medication during production and subsequent packaging.
